Seedling Heat Mat 53cm x 50cm 45W is designed to warm the root zone by 5.5 - 11 *C above grow room temperature.

This increases the success rate of cuttings and seedlings. It is durable and easy to clean.

Caution: Never bend or fold the heatmat. Uncovered and at room temperature (20°C), be aware the mat can reach surface temperatures of around 36-42 °C.

The Seedling Heat Mat 53cm x 50cm 45W is water resistant but not water proof so it's best to be placed under your propagating tray of cuttings to evenly distribute the growth stimulating warmth.

How the Seedling Heat Mat 53cm x 50cm 45W Works:

The Seedling Heat Mat 53cm x 50cm 45W sits underneath your propagator, radiating heat in order to maintain temperatures within the required ranges for rapid plant growth and root development.

By optimizing the climate inside your propagator, you can then expect to see improved cutting success, vibrant root development and all-round faster vegging times.

How to use the Seedling Heat Mat 53cm x 50cm 45W:

Put the heat mat under the seed starting trays and be patient, as it may take a couple of days for the mat to warm the medium or soil, especially with deep or large pots.

Check the medium or soil daily with a soil thermometer. If the medium or soil is too warm, raise the tray or container slightly with packers.

Cuttings and Seedlings will become weak and turn leggy with too much heat and at extreme heat they wilt and die.

Locate a flat, dry surface of the appropriate size for your heat mat.

Avoid cold surfaces, and they will counteract the heating ability of the heat mat.

Plug the heat mat's electrical cord into a Heat Mat Thermostat (sold separately) to attain the perfect temperature consistently.

Place a propagation tray or other plant container on the heat mat. For best results, cover seedlings / cuttings with a humidity dome.
